John Kasich’s tax proposals “full consideration” in the Senate — seemingly walking back from comments made a day earlier questioning Kasich’s proposal to cut Ohio’s income tax by raising severance taxes on shale drilling.

Congress gave final approval to payroll tax cut legislation Friday, also maintaining Medicare reimbursement rates for doctors and long-term unemployment benefits.
